In this video I show you how to fix Fortnite FPS drops, stutters and low FPS issues. Sometimes dropped frames cause stutters in Fortnite which may be perceived as lag. One of the best and easiest ways to fix Fortnite FPS drops is to optimize your Fortnite settings for performance. In most cases you will want each setting set to the lowest option, or one of the lower options. This will prevent FPS drops by reducing the load required to run the game. Having the Fortnite settings set too high can also result in low FPS which isn't ideal when playing. If the Fortnite FPS drops and stutters isn't fixed then you can also try updating your graphics card drivers. In cases where the issue is new or only occured after an update this can be the solution. For people with an NVIDIA graphics card you can update your drivers using the GeForce Experience application. Another solution for FPS drops and low FPS issues it to optimize your NVIDIA control panel settings. When the control panel settings set to optimize performance you should get higher FPS in Fortnite. You can also optimize your computer for higher FPS by turning off hardware acceleration on other applications that may be open. Google Chrome and Discord both have hardware acceleration options. If you play Fortnite with either of these programs open then this may be affecting your FPS. Additionally, in Windows 10 and Windows 11 you have graphics settings that can be toggled to improve FPS in Valorant. Typically you will want to have the reduce latency and improve performance option enabled, however, in some cases, it is better to have it turned off. Another way to get higher FPS in Fortnite is to clear out your computer. The easiest way to free up some space is to delete temp files. Temp files aren't needed and will automatically be recreated by applications when needed. The temporary data is often unneeded or outdated and not being used anymore. It's usually a good idea to delete your temporary files every now and again. Although unlikely, there are some cases where having a game overlay open will cause FPS drops in Fortnite. You can check if this is the issue by disabling your overlays and attempting to play Fortnite again. Some examples of overlays are the Discord game overlay and the NVIDIA GeForce Experience overlay. Removing any overclocking that you have on your PC can also fix Fortnite stutters. Lowering your in-game graphics settings can help fix FPS drops. However, if you have a good PC then it is unlikely that this is the issue. Additionally, you will also want to adjust your display mode and FPS limits. By having Valorant in fullscreen mode you may eliminate some FPS issues, such as low fps. Setting FPS limits for your menu and background options can help take pressure off your system when you're not playing, allowing your computer to focus on high frame rates while you're playing. If you're experiencing lag spikes then setting a limit may fix the FPS issue. Turning off the limit FPS on battery, and limit FPS always options will ensure that you're getting the best FPS when playing on computer and laptop. If either of these options are set to on then you may experience low FPS as you're choosing to limit how high your frame rate can go. Another option to solve Valorant stutters and FPS drops is to change your computers reduce latency and improve performance setting. Typically, having this setting enabled will result in better performance when playing Valorant, however, this isn't always the case. If this setting is already turned on then you can try disabling it to fix the FPS drop issue. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card then you can also fix FPS drops by adjusting your NVIDIA control panel settings. If you have the wrong settings then you may be experiencing low FPS or stutters as a result. Be sure to set max frame rate to off, and texture filtering quality to high performance. Turning off hardware acceleration on Discord and Google Chrome may also help improve FPS in Valorant. This won't make any changes if you don't play Valorant with these applications open. Another option to fix FPS issues and lag spikes is to close applications that you aren't using. These applications may be using resources, taking the focus away from Valorant. Be sure not to close any application that you're unfamiliar with to prevent causing any issues. Additionally, updating your graphics card drivers can help solve any issues. If Valorant started lagging after an update then this is a possible solution. Sometimes when loading into new areas or just randomly the fps drops down to around 30. Notice the fps in the top left corner going from 80 to 30 and then back up to 70 after lowering the image quality settings from 100 to 50 and then from 200 back to 100. In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how to fix stuttering, freezes and FPS drops in Warzone 2. There are several reasons why Warzone 2 may be stuttering, meaning there are multiple solutions. One of the common solutions is to restart shader optimization. This will remove all shader cache and reinstall it, solving any issues that may be caused by the shaders. It's important to give enough time for the shaders to install correctly. Optimizing shaders can also solve other Warzone 2 issues. If your graphics settings are set too high then that may be the cause of Warzone 2 FPS drops. By lowering your Warzone 2 settings you will alleviate some of the demand on your PC, resulting in better performance. Your settings will depend on your PC hardware, however, for the best performance, you will want to have most things set to low or turned off. Another easy way to fix Warzone 2 freezing issues is to set the spot cache to high or ultra. This will ensure that there is enough room designated for storing light shadow information to prevent stutters. If you currently have spot cache set to medium or low then this is likely to solve Warzone 2 freezing issues. Additionally, you can set the shader cache size to 10gb or 100gb in the NVIDIA control panel. By doing this you are guaranteeing there are no limitations for shader cache in Warzone 2. There are also some PC settings that can be causing FPS drops and stutters. In the graphics settings, you have the option to reduce latency and improve performance. Although having this setting enabled may solve freezing issues, it's also possible that you will experience fewer stutters with it turned off. You will need to restart your PC to apply the changes. A possible fix for Warzone 2 freezing issues is to reduce the display resolution settings. If your game is stuttering because of quality issues then this should fix the issue. You can then either choose to play with a lower display resolution or try to adjust your Warzone settings to prevent the issues. If you are only lowering your display resolution slightly then the quality difference shouldn't be too noticeable. Additionally, Warzone 2 freezing may also be caused by internet issues. An option for fixing internet issues is to restart your router. By doing this you will refresh your connection. You can also flush your DNS to try solve issues with your internet connection. Although unlikely, another option is to use a custom DNS. In some occasions a custom DNS may result in a better connection and ping when playing Warzone 2, fixing stutter issues when playing. Timeline- 00:00 - INTRO 00:11 - Disable Shader cache size in Nvidia Control Panel (STEP 1) (FOR AMD LOOK BELOW) 00:59 - RESTART PC (STEP 2) 01:03 - Disk Cleanup of Windows drive(DirectX cache) (STEP 3) 01:40 - Set "Default size" of Shader cache again in Nvidia Control Panel (STEP 4) 02:09 - RESTART PC (STEP 5) 02:17 - Clean installation of graphics drivers from Nvidia geforce experience(STEP 6) FOR AMD- STEP 1 Go to - 1. AMD Radeon Settings by right clicking on your desktop- 2. then Gaming Options 3. Click on Global Settings. 4.Turn off shader cache and restart. (NOTE: amd app is changed i think so you can just click on reset/clean shader cache instead of option 4) REST of the process is same. Step 3, Step 5, Step 6 - Reinstall clean amd drivers.
