During our evening walks, I realised how curious were the neighbourhood foxes about my dogs and how relaxed they were. So I grabbed my camera, went out many nights to try carving a cute story about this. Sometimes there's fantastic wildlife at our doorstep and I would highly encourage everyone to go discover, love and protect it. Dogs were always under proper control and no harm done to the foxes and the pooches. Tip Jar; if you like what you see and want to support my work! 🤍 The Queen's Golden Jubilee Bridge is one of my favourite places in London. I wanted to film some RAW footage there during sunset with my BMPCC as I had recently got hold of the Samyang 50mm F1.2 and wanted to see how well it paired up with the BMPCC. I shot this in RAW mode with the BMD Film Log, 24fps. Graded in Resolve using a pretty basic workflow; imported footage as BMD film, colourspace transform into rec709 gamma and then graded in that, along with some NR and sharpening. Here’s a little view into the city on water. Shot ProResHQ Film on BMPCC Canon 16-35mm f/4 IS (actually f/2.4 with the metabones speedbooster) Colored with OSIRIS and Film Convert. Edited in Premiere Pro CC. HOW I COLOR GRADED VENICE 🤍 I ended 2015 with the trip I had dreamed about for years. Venice, Italy. As a kid, I would sit and listen to my mimi’s story’s about riding gondolas and dancing in St. Marks Square. I was hooked. I debated on this, but with it being the most romantic place in the world, naturally I have to include some kind of mushy story to go along with it. The first gifts I gave to my girlfriend Fay were a clock and a journal. The clock was to always stay on my time while she was in London, and the journal was for her to document all her travels and experiences along the way. The cover of the journal, tastefully chosen by yours truly, was St. Marks Square in Venice. Little did I know that a year to the day I gave her both of those things, we would be flying out of London on our way to Italy, all planned by her. In one year, my dream turned into reality. I still think if you still shoot in 1080p you can't get more bang for your buck than the BMPCC, that after being a few years old its in a class of its own. Not many cameras in its size and sub £1000 price can compete with the fact it shoot Pro Res HQ and also RAW DNG files. With a few clicks in Davinci Resolve you can capture great stock footage . WIll i upgrade? well it will not be just for the 4k...it the 60p that is the hook for me and the harddrive storage is brilliant. So i think i will.
